There is truth to the saying, “Good Things Come in Threes”, especially when it involves the Graphics of the Americas Show. Besides the sand, surf and sun of Florida, Microcut/Colter & Peterson (booth 609) will feature a trio of powerful Microcut retrofit systems – PLUS XL, COLOR and JR – at the Broward Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale. The show is scheduled for February 22-24.
The company will demonstrate the networking capabilities and conversion of JDF files on the new 15-inch Microcut PLUS XL touch screen, in addition to showcasing the Hydraulic Cutter Control system on a 30-1/2 inch Challenge 305 paper cutter.
Microcut/Colter & Peterson continues to increase market share with customers in Mexico, Central and South America. In the last five years, GOA visitors from those countries have purchased and learned first-hand about the many benefits of cost-effective Microcut systems.
A standard feature on all new PRISM® and SABER® papers cutters offered by Colter & Peterson, the beauty of Microcut systems is they work with nearly every brand. Known to improve productivity by 50 percent or more, these programs give cutter operators the opportunity to do the type of work many can’t. Memorizing cut sequences for easy recall, the program guides the back gauge into position for highly precise cutting within 1/64th of an inch. Plus, each retrofit is easy to install and maintain.
Large format printers tend to favor Microcut PLUS XL with a 15-inch wide format touch screen. Equipped with money-saving microcip® and microfacts® features, these programs upload from the network connection with a USB device using CIP3 and CIP4 files, and no additional hardware or software is needed.
Microcut COLOR retrofits have captured the attention of medium sized printers. An 8-inch wide format touch screen helps for short and simple set-up. And Microcut JR is proving successful in smaller shops. It works well with smaller paper cutters under 37 inches and offers advanced programming options. Label and sheet divide requires only a few data entries to produce work.
