Register Print Group continues innovation trend, orders CHM precision sheeter from Colter & Peterson

Register Print Group, a large format sheetfed operation in Clifton, New Jersey, has never been shy at finding high-quality equipment to provide customers with the best printed solution. With an eye on the newest technology to boost overall quality and productivity, RPG has placed an order for a new CHM dual rotary knife precision sheeter from Colter & Peterson.

Sy Fishman, General Manager of RPG, expects to take delivery of the machine at his 130,000 square-foot, full-service facility in May. He credits a true relationship between the two companies that extends beyond 30 years as one of the reasons for this purchase.

“We’ve known the people at Colter & Peterson for almost as long as we’ve been in business, and we’ve bought a number of their large Baumann paper cutters, joggers and other related equipment,” said Mr. Fishman. “This is our first sheeter. Based on what we’ve been told and taking into account our relationship with C&P, we anticipate this equipment will make it easier to service our large format customers quicker and more efficiently.”

The CHM is designed to deliver high precision quality cutting for many types of paper and board. Offering outstanding technology with Siemens electronics, it is highly versatile and configurable. The sheeter is easy to operate and simple to maintain; it relies on touchscreen controls and servo motor drive systems for consistent operation, and has the capacity to develop 57” tall skids with up to 80” long sheets and slitter flexibility.
